The 3rd chakra, known as the Solar Plexus or Manipura in Sanskrit, is your inner fire.

Located in the upper abdomen—between the navel and the sternum—it’s the energy center of personal power, confidence, will, and transformation. Its element is fire, its color is yellow, and its essence is all about reclaiming your voice, your boundaries, and your right to take up space in this world.

But what happens when that fire dims?

🔥 My Fire Wasn't Always Lit

I’ll be honest: for much of my early life, I didn’t feel powerful—I felt invisible.

Like I was walking through the world with a dimmed light, doing my best to shrink myself so others wouldn’t feel uncomfortable. Being a highly intuitive and empathic person, I picked up on others’ discomfort around my sensitivity... and later, around my sexuality. I internalized the message that I had to tone it down—spiritually, emotionally, and physically.

The solar plexus chakra is often blocked by shame, self-doubt, or fear of judgment. Looking back, I now see how deeply my own Manipura was wrapped in those very energies.

As a healer and co-creator of Sage of the Light, my journey wasn’t just about learning techniques—it was about reclaiming my own fire. That meant facing the places where I’d given away my power, let others define me, or stayed quiet to avoid being “too much.”

But guess what?

Your light was never meant to be dimmed for anyone’s comfort.

✨ The Turning Point

The shift didn’t come from a book or a retreat or some perfect moment of enlightenment.

It came when I finally said:“F it—I'm letting my freak flag fly.”

I stopped trying to fit into spiritual boxes or live up to anyone else's idea of what a healer should be. I chose to be the mystic misfit I was meant to be—not for attention, but because hiding it hurt more than living it.

And when I made that choice, my intuition sharpened, my confidence returned, and the fire in my gut lit up like a bonfire.

🌞 What a Balanced Solar Plexus Feels Like

When this chakra is open and in flow, you might feel:

✔️ Confident but not arrogant✔️ Energized and driven✔️ Able to take action on your goals✔️ Comfortable setting boundaries✔️ Aligned with your purpose

But when it's out of balance, signs can include:

⚠️ Indecision or powerlessness⚠️ Control issues or passivity⚠️ Exhaustion or burnout⚠️ Digestive issues or adrenal fatigue⚠️ A sinking feeling in your gut around conflict

🔧 How I Keep My Fire Burning

(And How You Can Too)

Here are a few tools that have helped me restore and maintain my solar plexus:

  • Breathwork – Deep belly breaths reconnect you to your core

  • Movement – Dancing, yoga, and core strengthening awaken the fire

  • Fire Meditations – Visualize a golden flame growing in your belly

  • Saying No – Without apology or explanation

  • Radical Authenticity – Be your mystical, magical self—even if others don't get it

💛 A Message for the Misfits, Mystics & Quiet Warriors

If your fire’s been put out—or never fully allowed to burn—know this:

🔥 Your power isn’t gone. It’s just waiting.

The Solar Plexus isn’t about ego. It’s about authentic strength, aligned action, and soul-rooted confidence.

So light your flame again. Say yes to what fuels you—and no to what dims your light.

You were never meant to play small.
